Wanted to post since a long time but laziness was too inspiring. Considering I haven’t posted since 3 months I will update…

Chandigarh and Delhi trip: (4th Jan to 10th Jan)
Very nice, fell in lurv with Le Corbusier all over again, liked all the 3 buildings the Secretariat, High court and the Parliament. As warned by Shetty and rest of the world, which surrounds him, it was indeed very cold. In Delhi we had our adventures in and around the Katha seminar arranged in Indian Habitat centre (the place where Amir Khan fights with Atul Kulkarni in Rang de Basanti). The seminar seemed to be one big add campaign and a badly managed one that too, Kingfisher people do it better. The place was filled with uptight Delhi snobs in designer shawls talking on sensitive issues and how we need to do something for the world. The entire deal was a major put off after an amazing trip of Chandigarh city.

Fellowship presentation: (31st Jan)
Fellowship presentation to Daryl DeMonte and Tapathy Mukhopadhay, tried to stay afloat, but after sometime water filled my eyes, nose, ears, lungs, kidneys and I drowned in all the vision research talks, rendering me more confused than ever. Harsh too seemed a little shaken at the end of his presentation.

Other peoples’ presentations: (11th Feb)
Paddu and Chandra presented their papers to Shirish patel (and some other people I don’t know).

Visit to ASI (Archeological Survey of India) office:
Went to Sion fort where the ASI people hide from the rest of the city and are trying their level best to maintain and safeguard monuments (from the surrounding communities) under their jurisdiction.

All the above events were interspersed with very very inspiring Tracing Urbanism meetings with different people doing different things. Me, Ranjitartist, Aditya and the Cess group have decided to do a graphic novel for TU. The last time I heard Pindoo was writing Italo calvinonian (invisible city) text for Dharavi.
